Dreamworld, Coomera
When the sun goes down, Dreamworld’s Night Market comes alive with street food stalls, live entertainment, and rides after dark. Running every Friday and Saturday evening, it’s a fun night out about 35km north of Currumbin, with no full-day park ticket required.
Burleigh Heads Beachside Markets

A lively monthly market on the Burleigh Heads beachfront, with local produce, handmade goods, fresh coffee, and street food. Running from 8am to 2pm on the last Sunday of each month, it’s an easy 8km drive up the coast and a great way to start a Sunday before the beach.
Crafted Beer and Cider Festival 2026

The Crafted Beer and Cider Festival returns for its 10th Gold Coast edition at Kurrawa Park, Broadbeach. Over 60 craft breweries, cideries, and distilleries pour alongside live music and local food vendors. A ticketed event; book ahead to secure your spot.
SWELL Sculpture Festival 2026

Currumbin Beach oceanwalk to Flat Rock, Tugun
SWELL transforms the Currumbin Beach oceanwalk into a free outdoor sculpture gallery for 10 days each September. More than 50 large-scale works by Australian and international artists line the beachside path directly outside your door. No tickets, no transport required.
BLEACH* Arts Festival 2026

HOTA (Home of the Arts) and venues across the Gold Coast
Eleven days of live music, contemporary dance, world-class theatre, circus and large-scale art installations spread across Gold Coast venues. BLEACH* is one of Australia’s most distinctive outdoor arts festivals, with a mix of free and ticketed events for all ages.
Shaw and Partners Coolangatta Gold 2026

Coolangatta Beach
Running for over 40 years, the Coolangatta Gold is one of Australia’s most iconic endurance events. Elite surf lifesavers swim, board paddle, surf ski, and run a gruelling 25.6km course along the southern Gold Coast. Spectating is free, the atmosphere electric, and Coolangatta Beach is just 6km from Currumbin Sands.
